Exciting tie between Paceños and Potros

Club Atlético La Paz and Atlante played to a tie on Matchday 5 with the Estadio Guaycura at maximum capacity.

Matchday 5 of the tournament featured an intense duel between the Aurinegros and Potros de Hierro. The home side arrived in second place in the table against Atlante, who were looking to improve their start to the tournament. Despite being a match with multiple chances on both sides, the score ended without goals.

In the first half, there was intensity on both sides. Possession of the ball was shared in different periods of the first half in what looked like a study round. There were approaches in both areas but there was no maximum danger.

On the final minutes of the first half, there was contact in the area on Ulises Jaimes; the referee called a penalty, at first, but changed his decision after discussing the play with his flag bearers.

The second half had more chances and both clubs were just a few centimeters from scoring. The most dangerous for La Paz was a mid-distance shot off the post by Ulises Jaimes and on the visitors' side, Arturo Sanchez headed a shot inside the box but Horacio Torres prevented the goal on the goal line.

The intensity of the match led to several scuffles and rough plays; both teams ended with one man down. Edgar Alaffita was sent off for Club Atlético La Paz and Atlante was without Arturo Sánchez.

The score ended in zero and the points were divided at the Guaycura. With this result, The Paceños remain at the top of the table and will travel to Tlaxcala for their next game.
